Your acne may be gone, but the reminders remain. Our Post-Acne Facial is specifically designed to address the aftermath—scarring, hyperpigmentation, uneven texture, and enlarged pores that linger long after breakouts have cleared. This targeted treatment combines advanced resurfacing techniques, brightening actives, and collagen-stimulating technologies to restore smooth, even, radiant skin. Finally, a treatment that helps you move forward from acne for good.
HOW IT WORKS
The Post-Acne Facial is a comprehensive, multi-phase treatment designed to address the complex concerns left behind after acne has cleared. Unlike generic facials that provide surface-level results, this targeted protocol works at multiple depths to resurface, brighten, and rebuild your skin from within.
Your treatment begins with a thorough consultation and skin analysis. Your esthetician will assess the type and depth of your scarring—whether ice pick, boxcar, rolling, or a combination—as well as any hyperpigmentation, texture irregularities, and pore concerns. This analysis determines which combination of techniques will deliver the best results for your unique skin.
Phase 1: Deep Cleanse & Preparation — A professional double cleanse removes surface impurities, followed by gentle enzyme or acid exfoliation to soften the skin and enhance penetration of active ingredients.
Phase 2: Targeted Resurfacing — Depending on your skin’s needs, this may include:
-
Chemical exfoliation with AHAs/BHAs to accelerate cell turnover and smooth texture
-
Professional-grade vitamin C and brightening agents to fade post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
-
Niacinamide infusion to minimize pores and strengthen the skin barrier
-
Retinoid application to stimulate collagen and speed cellular renewal
Phase 3: Collagen Stimulation — Advanced modalities are incorporated to trigger your skin’s natural healing response:
-
Microneedling to create controlled micro-injuries that stimulate collagen production in scarred areas
-
LED light therapy (red for collagen, blue for any residual bacteria)
-
Radiofrequency energy to tighten and rebuild dermal structure
Phase 4: Soothe & Protect — A calming, hydrating mask reduces any inflammation while a cocktail of healing serums, antioxidants, and SPF protection seals in results and supports ongoing recovery.
The entire treatment takes 60-90 minutes depending on which modalities are included. You’ll leave with skin that looks immediately smoother and brighter, with progressive improvement in scarring and pigmentation over the following weeks as collagen remodeling continues.

WHY OUR CLIENTS LOVE THIS SERVICE

Our clients love that the Post-Acne Facial finally addresses what other treatments ignore. They’ve tried countless products promising to fade scars and even skin tone, only to be disappointed. This professional treatment delivers what over-the-counter products simply cannot—real, visible improvement in scarring and pigmentation.
Our clients love that we understand their journey. Acne is more than skin deep—it affects confidence, self-image, and how we show up in the world. Our estheticians approach post-acne skin with expertise and empathy, creating a judgment-free space where clients feel understood and supported.
Our clients love seeing their skin transform over time. As one client shared: “I had deep acne scars for over 10 years. I’d given up hope that anything would help. After six Post-Acne Facials, my skin is smoother than it’s been since high school. I actually take selfies now—something I never thought I’d do”;
Our clients love the customization. Not all acne scarring is the same, and neither are our treatments. Whether you’re dealing with deep ice pick scars, stubborn dark spots, or overall texture issues, your esthetician tailors every session to target your specific concerns.
Our clients love that results are cumulative and lasting. Unlike temporary fixes that fade in days, the Post-Acne Facial stimulates real collagen production and cellular renewal. Each treatment builds on the last, creating progressive improvement that lasts.
Our clients love finally feeling confident in their skin. The emotional impact of clearing acne scarring goes far beyond appearance. Clients report feeling more confident at work, in social situations, and in intimate relationships. That transformation is what drives everything we do.
THE EVOLUTION: FROM OLD TREATMENTS TO MODERN POST-ACNE CARE
The Problem with Traditional Approaches
For decades, people struggling with acne scarring faced limited and often disappointing options. The journey from active acne to clear skin was difficult enough—but finding effective treatment for the scars left behind proved even more challenging.
Dermabrasion, popular in the 1980s and 1990s, used a rotating wire brush to literally sand down the skin’s surface. While it could improve some scarring, the procedure was aggressive, painful, and required weeks of recovery. Risks included infection, permanent pigmentation changes, and—ironically—additional scarring. For darker skin tones, the risk of hyperpigmentation made it particularly problematic.
Deep chemical peels offered another option but came with significant tradeoffs. Phenol peels could reach deeper skin layers but required sedation, caused weeks of raw, oozing skin, and carried risks of cardiac complications and permanent skin lightening. Many patients ended up with skin that looked bleached or waxy.
Early laser resurfacing showed promise but lacked precision. Ablative CO2 lasers essentially vaporized the top layers of skin, requiring extensive wound care and carrying high risks for scarring and pigmentation changes. Recovery often took 2-3 weeks of staying home with bandaged, oozing skin.
Over-the-counter scar treatments—creams, gels, and serums—proliferated but delivered minimal results. Without the ability to penetrate deeply or stimulate significant collagen production, these products could only offer modest improvement in surface texture and pigmentation.
The Modern Post-Acne Facial Difference
Today’s professional post-acne treatments represent a revolution in scar revision. Advanced technologies and sophisticated ingredient delivery systems now allow us to achieve meaningful improvement without the trauma, risks, and extended downtime of older methods.
The key innovations that make modern post-acne facials so effective:
-
Professional-strength brightening agents like tranexamic acid, arbutin, and stabilized vitamin C fade hyperpigmentation faster and more effectively than any over-the-counter product
-
Precision microneedling creates thousands of controlled micro-channels that trigger collagen production exactly where scarring exists—without damaging surrounding healthy tissue
-
Multi-acid peels combine AHAs, BHAs, and PHAs at professional concentrations to resurface skin while minimizing irritation
-
LED light therapy accelerates healing, reduces inflammation, and stimulates fibroblast activity for faster collagen production
-
Radiofrequency technology delivers heat to deeper skin layers, triggering collagen remodeling and tissue tightening in depressed scars
-
Advanced delivery systems ensure active ingredients penetrate to the depths where they can make a real difference
The result? Visible, progressive improvement in acne scarring, hyperpigmentation, and texture—with minimal downtime, manageable discomfort, and far lower risk than traditional aggressive treatments. Modern science has finally made clear, smooth, even-toned skin achievable for those living with post-acne concerns.

ENHANCE YOUR TREATMENT
Post-Acne Facial + Microneedling
The gold standard for scar revision. Professional microneedling creates thousands of micro-channels that trigger intense collagen production exactly where scarring exists. Essential for moderate to severe acne scarring.
Post-Acne Facial + LED Therapy
Accelerate healing and boost results. Red light stimulates collagen and speeds recovery, while blue light eliminates any lingering acne bacteria. The perfect add-on to reduce inflammation and enhance cellular renewal.
Post-Acne Facial + RF Therapy
Target deep, depressed scars from within. Radiofrequency energy penetrates to the dermal layer, triggering collagen remodeling and tissue tightening that lifts and fills rolling and boxcar scars.
Post-Acne Facial + Liquid Laser Therapy
Address redness and vascular scarring. Pulsed dye laser targets the red and purple discoloration left by healed blemishes, while stimulating collagen for overall skin improvement. Ideal for PIE (post-inflammatory erythema).
Post-Acne Facial + Oxygen Glo2 Treatment
Intensive healing and hydration. After resurfacing treatments, oxygen infusion floods skin with nutrients and hydration to support faster recovery and enhanced results. Perfect for sensitive or compromised skin barriers.
Ask your esthetician about enhancement options during your consultation.

DISCLAIMERS
Results may vary based on individual skin type, scar type and depth, pigmentation concerns, and adherence to post-care instructions. A consultation is recommended to assess your specific concerns and create a realistic treatment plan.
The Post-Acne Facial is designed for skin that has cleared from active acne. Clients with active breakouts, cystic acne, or inflammatory acne should address active acne first before beginning scar revision treatments. We offer separate protocols for active acne management.
Some modalities within the Post-Acne Facial (microneedling, certain chemical peels) may not be appropriate for clients with active skin infections, open wounds, eczema, psoriasis, or rosacea in the treatment area. A full skin assessment will be performed at your consultation.
Clients with a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring should inform their provider, as certain treatments may need to be modified or avoided. Those prone to cold sores should take preventive antiviral medication before treatment.
Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation is more common in darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV-VI). Treatment protocols will be adjusted accordingly to minimize risk, and patch testing may be recommended before full treatment.
Clients who have used isotretinoin (Accutane) within the past 6 months should not receive certain resurfacing treatments. Please disclose all current and recent medications during your consultation.
