Uncover your skin's natural radiance. Our Exfoliation Facial uses professional-grade techniques to dissolve dead skin cells, unclog pores, and accelerate cellular turnover—revealing the fresh, smooth, luminous skin hiding beneath the surface. Whether you choose enzyme, chemical, or mechanical exfoliation (or a customized combination), this treatment is the foundation of healthy, glowing skin at any age.
HOW IT WORKS
Every day, your skin sheds millions of dead cells. But as we age—or when skin is congested, dehydrated, or sun-damaged—this natural process slows down. Dead cells accumulate on the surface, causing dullness, rough texture, clogged pores, and preventing your skincare products from penetrating effectively. Professional exfoliation removes this barrier, jumpstarting your skin’s renewal process.
Your Exfoliation Facial begins with a thorough consultation. Your esthetician assesses your skin type, concerns, and sensitivity level to determine the optimal exfoliation method—or combination of methods—for your unique needs.
We offer three primary exfoliation approaches, each with distinct benefits:
Enzyme Exfoliation
The gentlest option, perfect for sensitive or reactive skin. Natural fruit enzymes (papain from papaya, bromelain from pineapple) digest dead skin cells without any abrasion or acid irritation. The result is soft, smooth skin with zero downtime—ideal for first-time exfoliation clients or those with rosacea-prone skin.
Chemical Exfoliation
Professional-strength acids dissolve the bonds between dead skin cells for deeper, more dramatic results. Options include:
-
Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs): Glycolic, lactic, and mandelic acids for surface renewal, brightening, and hydration
-
Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs): Salicylic acid penetrates oil to clear pores—ideal for acne-prone and oily skin
-
Polyhydroxy Acids (PHAs): Gentle giants that exfoliate while hydrating—perfect for dry or mature skin
-
Combination Peels: Multi-acid formulations tailored to address multiple concerns simultaneously
Mechanical Exfoliation
Physical removal of dead skin cells through professional techniques:
-
Dermaplaning: A surgical blade gently removes dead skin and vellus hair (peach fuzz) for an ultra-smooth canvas
-
Microdermabrasion: Diamond-tip or crystal exfoliation buffs away surface cells and stimulates circulation
-
Professional scrubs: Medical-grade formulations with uniform particles for controlled, effective exfoliation
Following exfoliation, your skin is primed for maximum absorption. Your esthetician applies targeted serums, hydrating treatments, and protective SPF—all of which penetrate deeper and work harder on your freshly revealed skin.
The entire treatment takes 45-60 minutes. You’ll leave with immediately smoother, brighter skin that continues to improve over the following days as cellular turnover accelerates.

WHY OUR CLIENTS LOVE THIS SERVICE

Our clients love the immediate transformation. There’s nothing quite like the moment you touch your skin after an Exfoliation Facial—impossibly smooth, soft, and fresh. Our clients can’t stop touching their faces (we don’t blame them).
Our clients love that their skincare finally works. That expensive serum you’ve been using? It’s been sitting on top of dead skin cells instead of penetrating where it matters. After professional exfoliation, clients consistently report that their products absorb faster, work better, and last longer. It’s like unlocking your skincare’s full potential.
Our clients love the customization. Sensitive skin that can’t tolerate acids? Enzyme exfoliation is your answer. Oily, acne-prone skin that needs deep pore clearing? BHA peels to the rescue. Sun-damaged skin with stubborn dark spots? Multi-acid brightening peel. Your esthetician matches the method to your skin—never a one-size-fits-all approach.
Our clients love dermaplaning for makeup application. As one client shared: “I was skeptical about dermaplaning, but now I’m obsessed. My foundation goes on like silk, my skin looks airbrushed, and I swear my serums work twice as well. It’s my new pre-event essential”;
Our clients love the reset factor. Life happens—travel, stress, late nights, skipped routines. When skin looks dull and congested, an Exfoliation Facial is the ultimate reset button. One treatment and you’re back to glowing.
Our clients love that it’s the gateway to better skin. Many of our most dedicated clients started with a simple Exfoliation Facial. Once they experienced professional-level results, they understood the difference expertise makes—and they never went back to DIY.
THE EVOLUTION: FROM OLD TREATMENTS TO MODERN EXFOLIATION
The Problem with Traditional Approaches
Exfoliation has been part of skincare rituals for thousands of years—Cleopatra famously bathed in sour milk (lactic acid) for softer skin. But for most of modern history, exfoliation options were either too gentle to make a difference or too harsh for regular use.
Early commercial scrubs of the 1970s and 1980s used crushed walnut shells, apricot pits, and other irregular particles that created micro-tears in the skin. While marketed as “deep cleansing”; these products often caused more damage than benefit—irritation, broken capillaries, and compromised skin barriers. Many people still bear the consequences of overly aggressive scrubbing.
At-home chemical peels emerged in the 1990s but posed significant risks. Without professional assessment, many consumers used acids that were too strong for their skin type, applied them incorrectly, or failed to use adequate sun protection afterward. Chemical burns, hyperpigmentation, and scarring were common consequences of DIY acid experimentation.
Professional treatments existed but were often extreme. Medium and deep chemical peels required days or weeks of recovery, with raw, oozing skin that demanded intensive wound care. Microdermabrasion machines varied wildly in quality, and untrained operators frequently caused abrasions and irritation.
The result? Many people avoided exfoliation entirely, missing out on one of the most effective ways to improve skin texture, tone, and radiance—or they damaged their skin with inappropriate products and techniques.
The Modern Exfoliation Facial Difference
Today’s professional exfoliation represents a sophisticated, customized approach that delivers dramatic results without the risks of older methods. Advances in ingredient technology and application techniques have made safe, effective exfoliation accessible to virtually every skin type.
The key innovations that make modern exfoliation facials so effective:
-
Buffered acid formulations deliver active ingredients at precise pH levels—strong enough to work, gentle enough for regular use without damaging the skin barrier
-
Time-released enzymes provide controlled, consistent exfoliation without the irritation spikes of older formulations
-
Professional dermaplaning uses surgical-grade blades with precise angles and techniques that trained estheticians master—nothing like drugstore “face razors”;
-
Advanced diamond-tip microdermabrasion offers adjustable suction and abrasion levels customized to individual skin needs
-
Multi-acid complexes combine different exfoliants at optimized ratios for synergistic effects—brightening, clearing, and smoothing simultaneously
-
Post-exfoliation protocols include barrier-supporting ingredients that prevent the irritation and sensitivity common with older techniques
The result? Professional exfoliation that reveals dramatically smoother, brighter, more radiant skin—with minimal downtime, controlled intensity, and results that build beautifully over time. Modern science has transformed exfoliation from a risky endeavor into an essential cornerstone of healthy skin.

ENHANCE YOUR TREATMENT
Exfoliation Facial + LED Therapy
Maximize your glow. After exfoliation removes dead cells, LED light therapy penetrates freshly revealed skin for enhanced collagen stimulation (red light) or acne-fighting benefits (blue light). The perfect finishing touch for amplified results.
Exfoliation Facial + Oxygen Glo2 Treatment
Deep hydration on fresh skin. After removing the dead cell barrier, oxygen infusion delivers intense hydration and nutrients directly to receptive new cells. Ideal for dehydrated skin that needs both renewal and nourishment.
Exfoliation Facial + Microcurrent Therapy
Smooth skin meets lifted contours. Combine surface exfoliation with muscle re-education for a treatment that addresses both texture and tone. Your skin will be smooth AND sculpted.
Exfoliation Facial + Microneedling
The ultimate resurfacing combination. Exfoliation clears the surface while microneedling triggers deep collagen production. Together, they address texture concerns from the outside in AND inside out. Ideal for scarring, deep texture issues, or anti-aging.
Exfoliation Facial + HydraFacial
Double down on clarity. Start with professional exfoliation to remove dead cells, then follow with HydraFacial’s vortex technology to deep-clean pores and infuse serums. The ultimate combination for congested, dull skin that needs a serious reset.

DISCLAIMERS
Results may vary based on individual skin type, condition, and the exfoliation method selected. A consultation is recommended to determine the most appropriate approach for your specific concerns and skin sensitivity.
Chemical exfoliation is not recommended for clients with active cold sores, open wounds, sunburn, or inflamed skin conditions (active eczema, psoriasis, rosacea flares). Those with a history of cold sores should take preventive antiviral medication before deeper exfoliation treatments.
Certain exfoliation methods may not be appropriate for clients who are pregnant or nursing. Please inform your esthetician of your status so protocols can be adjusted accordingly.
Clients who have used isotretinoin (Accutane) within the past 6 months should avoid certain chemical peels and mechanical exfoliation. Please disclose all current and recent medications during your consultation.
Dermaplaning is not recommended for clients with active acne, as the blade can spread bacteria. Alternative exfoliation methods will be recommended for acne-prone skin.
Post-treatment sun sensitivity is increased after exfoliation. Daily SPF use is essential for at least one week following treatment—and ideally, every day thereafter. Failure to protect freshly exfoliated skin may result in hyperpigmentation or sun damage.
Some peeling, flaking, or dryness may occur following chemical exfoliation—this is a normal part of the skin renewal process and should not be manually removed. Allow skin to shed naturally for best results.
